John joined our Preston office as a Trainee Accountant in June 2002, quickly progressing through AAT before taking the ACA fast track option and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2006.
With a strong background in the preparation of accounts, management accounts, VAT work and statutory and specialised audit of various business types and sizes, John has been involved in a variety of assignments, including due diligence work on sales and acquisitions, and specialist projects for clients, such as cash flow forecasting.
A regular contributor to consultations issued by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Legal Services Board regarding accounts rules, future business structures and regulation, John's areas of expertise include charities, third sector business structures and solicitors.
John dedicates part of his professional time to providing complimentary business and accounting advice to new and growing SME’s through a variety of presentations and workshops in partnership with BusinessLink and the Manchester Science Park.
